Tibetan Acupressure Head Massage

Tibetan Acupressure Head Massage (TAHM) was once recommended by Tibetan physicians for conditions such as anxiety and restlessness.

TAHM is a blend of modern Western massage methods, combined with the original Tibetan acupressure techniques and incorporates the traditional principles and theories of ancient Tibetan medicine.

This unique therapy draws on the ancient wisdom and philosophies of Tibetan Ayurveda. The literal meaning of the word "Ayurveda" is 'the science of life' and Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India more than 5,000 years ago.

TAHM involves a deeply relaxing massage of your scalp, face, throat, neck, shoulders and upper arms.

How does a TAHM-session work?

This relaxing treatment is normally done with you lying down. The massage is performed fully clothed and warmed oils are traditionally used in this massage, but these are optional.

A session of TAHM lasts a full hour and can work extremely well in combination with a Reiki treatment.

The benefits

The beneficial effects of this very gentle treatment are many and varied; TAHM brings balance and harmony to the mind and body and supports the body's natural ability to heal itself.

This therapy increases circulation to the scalp, increases oxygen, aids healing and nourishes the tissues. TAHM improves hair and scalp condition, promotes hair growth, aids lymphatic drainage and the elimination of toxins, increases endorphin (natural fever reliever) production, counters the effects of stress, relieves minor headaches, relaxes facial and eyes muscles and promotes the feeling of inner peace and calmness.

Relaxing Body Massage

Massage - the manipulation of the muscles and soft tissues of the body - has been used as a healing therapy for many thousands of years. The ancient cultures of Japan, Egypt and Rome all considered massage to be calming, soothing and relaxing, and also very important as a healing treatment.

How does a Relaxing Body Massage work?

This relaxing treatment is done with you lying down. A session lasts a full hour and can work extremely well in combination with Reiki.

The benefits

Massage relieves the symptoms of stiff, tired joints, speeds up digestion and encourages circulation, promotes relaxation and improves sleep.

Massage therapy can work to either overcome of prevent injuries, strains, accidents and illness. Massage allows the body's natural healing processes to work most effectively. It enhances your vitality and sense of well-being, improves your posture and re-balances you body and mind.

A relaxing body massage will leave you feeling relaxed and revitalised.

Thai Foot Massage

Thai Foot Massage (TFM) is a massage which involves stretching of the lower body and massage of the hands and feet. TFM originated in Thailand about 2000 years ago.
Thai Foot Massage is part of the traditional Thai massage and has elements of Shiatsu, Chinese massage and Yoga incorporated into the massage itself. TFM is still taught by Buddhist monks in the temples of Thailand.

How does a TFM-session work?

This relaxing massage is normally done with you lying down. The massage is performed fully clothed and involves massage of your feet and calves. A session of TFM can last from half an hour up to an hour and works extremely well in combination with the other treatments I offer.

The benefits

TFM is an effective treatment for improving the circulation in your legs and feet. It stimulates lymphatic drainage, removes toxins and boosts the immune system. This massage reduces the possibility of developing arthritic and rheumatic conditions in the feet and will help to get rid of stiffness and to improve flexibility. TFM may also help to relieve stress, insomnia, mental tiredness and anxiety.
